Historical Fiction-Choice Board

As we transition from narrative text to nonfiction (both reading & writing) this term, we are going to continue exploring time periods through independent historical fiction reading choices. The students have chosen historical fiction books to independently read over the next few weeks. These books will provide us with opportunities to continue reading literature, yet also support learning in a nonfiction sense about the different time periods.

Books should travel to and from school over the next few weeks.

In addition to using them for reading at home, the students will make choices as to 3 activities to complete along the way or as they finish the books. They have a copy of the project choices and we have gone through the expectations in class - as always, if they have questions along the way - ask!

A copy of the activity choices are also attached here for you to see.

The reading and projects are DUE: Friday, February 14th - the Friday before break.
This allows for 4 weeks to read and complete the activities.
